EXPANDING THE HEALTHCARE WORKFORCE

Project Overview: Bismarck State College, North Dakota’s Polytechnic Institute, along with Endeavor North Design has crafted a vision for the expansion of the educational offerings and capabilities of their Health Sciences Program. The multi-disciplinary health science facility expansion at Bismarck State College will serve as a cornerstone in fulfilling the institution's mission of supporting the community and industry workforce through collaboration with local and regional partners.

Key Features:

• Collaborative Spaces:  The new facility will provide state-of-the-art laboratories, collaborative environments, and equipment necessary for hands-on learning in health sciences. The building recreates real world, multi-disciplinary healthcare environments where programs can train side by side as they do in actual healthcare settings.  This ensures that students receive a high-quality education that aligns with industry trends and prepares them for real-world challenges.

• Flexibility:  The expansion will be complimentary to the existing building, providing additional spaces that can be flexibly used by multiple programs.  An Anatomy Lab, Simulation Spaces and many other areas are located so that they can be accessed by different groups throughout the day and year, increasing the utilization of the spaces.

• Healthcare Industry Integration: Through collaboration with local and regional partners, Bismarck State College tailors its programs to meet the specific and dynamic needs of the healthcare industry. By staying closely aligned with industry demands, the college ensures that its graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to excel in their careers, thus contributing to the growth and development of the local workforce.
